I am planning to read the remaining books in the Bridgerton Series, if not one after the other! I will read a couple of my usual genre books between each book but am looking forward to each individual volume. I found I could not only accept that the characters were likeable but their relationship with each other was both realistic and engaging. Both that book and The Viscount Who Loved Me are extremely well written. I purchased the Duke and I and thoroughly enjoyed the book.
It reminded a bit of Jane Austen which I had studied at school and had enjoyed. I watched the Netflix series with my wife and found that I white enjoyed it. But the most important thing to me is that the book is well written with believable characters you can relate to. I am not a romance reader! My usual genre is Golden Age of Crime, Fantasy and Sci-fi.
